What can I do to these ugly ceilings?

OK, we are moving to Dubai and given a company villa, all looks ok except for the ceiling, it looks something from an office/hospitals. I don’t expect this to be in our home?.. what can I do to re-create this look? Paint? or if I can get coloured ones? it looks a bit old n dingy.

You can paint these tiles but they are a real pain to do this..someone suggested screwing sheetrock up there…don’t …the metal grid system will not hold the weight of that or wood panels…you would just be better off purchasing new panels in a different design if you are not happy with it..chances are you cannot change a company villa too much and they might be insulted if you say anything to them about it. Check your local hardware stores for the panels and if they are available in Dubai or not..that will be the next challenge.
