Where would someone find a value on an old photograph?

I have an old black and white picture of the United States Marshals dated March 10, 1926. It is in old picture frame (maybe the original). Size of photo is 9″ x 20″. Does it have any value? Is the date significant?

What kind of picture is it? Offset, machine made polytone, platinum, silver gelatin, ect.?

If it is a real, handmade silver gelatin or platinum it could be worth some money. Especially if the Marshals are identified. It would be especially nice if the studio and photographer identified as well.
