Can the Houston rockets get Chris Bosh and Shaq and if they do will they be a title contender ?

They don’t re-sing Luis Scola, but they re-sign Kyle Lowry.
That would not work. Not many people have Houston as a top team that they would like to go for some reason. As a huge Rockets fan (their my #1 favorite team), I wish that was not the case.
For the PG position, like you, I would keep Aaron Brooks as the starter and Kyle Lowry as the backup… that worked last season, and it would work for next season.
For the SG position, I liked how it was prior to the trade, with Trevor Ariza starting at that position. Now that we have Kevin Martin, Ariza was switched to the SF position. So, I would assume the Rockets will continue to have Martin start as the SG, with maybe Jermaine Taylor as the backup.
At the SF position, I liked my favorite Rocket, Shane Battier starting. But with the Martin trade and Ariza injury return, he was moved to the bench. It’ll probably stay that way, with Ariza starting, and Battier and Chase Budinger on the bench.
The PF, they really want to try to persuade Chris Bosh to come to Houston. If they succeed (probably not), then Luis Scola leaving won’t hurt as much, especially since they traded Carl Landry. If Bosh doesn’t come to Houston and Scola leaves, the Rockets will have to adjust and groom Jordan Hill or Jared Jeffries to start, with Hill being the more likely.
Yao Ming should be ready to start on opening day. Shaq wouldn’t be needed off the bench. We would need a younger, more active Center.
Now, with free agents… Luis Scola, Kyle Lowry, and possibly Yao Ming having a chance of leaving, a lot can change. And with a slight possibility of Chris Bosh coming and Houston having a sign-and-trade with Toronto, the Rockets could be seeing a completely different roster next season.
