Why am I still being told I am signed in on another computer?

I changed my password, and uninstalled and reinstalled messenger for about the 5th time, and still being told i am signed in on another computer! And why doesn’t my drop down menu work under connection preference?

If you’re talking about yahoo messenger, then I had the same problem. I reinstalled and changed my password, too. It only happened when I was chatting with someone on a wireless pc. Now he uses on ‘hard-wired’ to the wall, and it doesn’t happen now. Maybe there’s a connection issue on wireless.
