Can we do away with Newcastle’s self-styled “best fans in the league” myth?
They used to get 15000-16000 in the 80′s, even when they had Gazza & Waddle. They gobbed on Bobby Robson when he was England manager for dropping Kevin Keegan, then whined like the crybabies they are when he couldn’t win them anything. They reported Beckham to the FA for giving them the V sign (after they made some pretty nasty comments about his wife & kid), then a week or two later were singing racist songs about Hassan Kachloul against Southampton. On THAT evidence, my friend, I agree with ya, entirely! The BEST fans, in the Premiership, right now, are those who follow MANCESTER CITY. You might not agree, of course, – and, I will NOT censor those who disagree, – but, the TRUTH is, that, – it ain’t THAT long ago, that City languished in the THIRD tier of English football. City GOT 20,000 fans, on SEVERAL occasions, at THAT point, in their existence!
I’ve been a City fanatic, for more years than I wanna THINK about, and, I can TELL ya this, for 1,000% CERTAIN! The TRUTH of it, is, that MY team’s fans know the MEANING of “LOYALTY”!!! And, – believe ME, – it has SOD ALL to do with the CHINESE ROYAL FAMILY!!!!!
