Rafa Benitez

Rafa Benitez
Is Rafa Benitez too arrogant to see that his defensive control freak style is damaging Liverpool?

All the noises from Anfield sounds like he has ruined Liverpool reserves and youth
And Liverpool only attack when they need to when they’re winning they sit back and throw it all away
Is it time for Rafa Benitez to accept his arrogant style doesn’t work for Liverpool?

Rubbish! Rafa has brought some top notch youth prospects to the club and overseen the development of some great youngsters. We’ve won the youth AND reserve leagues convincingly under him, which tells you all you need to know. Players like Eccleston, Spearing, Plessis, Amoo, Nemeth and Pacheco will be making the breakthrough soon enough.

How braindead must you be to accuse Benitez – manager of six years – of “not working” for Liverpool after one poor spell of form? Have you already forgotten last season’s title push? His “arrogant style” seemed to work pretty well during that spell of about ten 3 goal + performances a few months ago. And how is it “arrogant” to sit back after taking a lead? Isn’t that the opposite? A modest approach?

Blaming Benitez for everything is just dumb and ignorant to the real factors contributing to our poor form.

A Spaniard with admittedly a wonderful record at Valencia was going to ta…

In 2004, Rafa Benitez became the manager of Liverpool, bringing with him a platoon of Spanish players and designs on the club’s first league title since 1990. In his first season in England Benitez offered both hope and misery to Liverpool supporters. In Europe, the club battled to the final of the Champions League in 2005 and, against all expectations, won. Domestically, though, they faltered. Co…
