Mark Hateley

Did anyone read Mark Hately’s column in the Record today about Kris Boyd? Do you agree with his comments?
I am not Mark Hately’s biggest fan but I have to agree with every word he said in the Daily Record today. Fair play to Hately for telling it how it is. Boyd is a sulking man-child who surely must have a negative effect on the Scotland squad with his shocking attitude.

Rangers could have pushed the boat out and kept him but in my opinion Walter Smith was quite happy to see him go despite his excellent goal scoring record. At the moment its all about the 25th anniversary of Jock Stein’s death but Walter Smith will also go down in history as an excellent Scottish manager. You cant argue with Walter Smith’s judgment and he’s not the only manager to leave Boyd out of the team when the going gets tough. Is Boyd a waste of a jersey?
Id say Hateleys just a wee bit annoyed that Boyd wouldnt take him up on his offer of extra training, but Boyd does go in a huff way to often, in saying that Levein would still be daft to never attempt partnering him with Miller again in a 4-4-2 formation, Boyds a decent player just never got decent crosses or assists sent to him during the scotland game.
