What are the F.A. thinking?

I don’t know if any of you saw it, but Michael Oliver gave a red card for Maik Taylor’s challenge on a Plymouth player on Monday.

Birmingham City appealed because it was obviously never a penalty, let alone a red card, and the F.A. rejected the appeal!

I think this is just because they are trying to protect the decisions of the young 24 year old referee so that they don’t shatter his confidence, but this is clearly unfair!
