I am just not happy nor sad.
the player is our equvivalent of Lucas Leiva – looks desperately useless at times yet great at times
but Anderson has sparks of brilliance than Lucas

Not too sure about this. I mean, you’re exactly right when you said he has his ups and downs. I remember when he was at Porto, he was very impressive. Whether he was worth the rumoured £18m is another story but it looks like he is going to stay for a while. Either that, he won’t be allowed to leave for free (though 5 year deal is quite long).
One thing for sure, I would rather have Anderson than Lucas. I just don’t get him at all. He seems to be a normal average player who doesn’t have that extra oomph about him.
And as for Gibson, when was the last time he played. Granted he’s still young and learning, but he’s not exactly an inexperienced potential young player anymore. It looks like his chance of succeeding will be limited. Or he may be like O’Shea who is just a squad player for United.
