9 Web Design Fashion Trends For 2010
Within a short span of time the New Year 2010 will be upon us. What will this year bring to the web cyber arena? What are the new trends and what fashion will be kept next year? All companies will attempt to try to improve on this year`s efforts as much as possible, to sort all things and enter the New Year with many tantalizing new brilliant ideas.
Here I have gathered some of my thoughts, they may not be suitable for every business footing however in general I have tried to seed ideas, some which are fresh, some are not suitable and some may fit perfectly. You are free to choose or follow whatever suits your purpose.
1. What page layout is going to work next year? Of course, every client must take care of their money and return on investment, as who likes to spend money on changing pages. However, they may well need updating and modifying, so careful consideration must be given to style and fashion where appropriate.
2. All social trends like social network, for example: Facebook, Twitter, will improve in 2010. As these grow they will modify, more events, forums, suggestions will appear. It means that a business should again take into consideration possible changes and be involved in this social interchange as much as possible for good awareness. It is going to be an exciting year as the performance in how social networking is developing and what possibilities it can bring to business are monitored and acted upon…
3. We predict that next year will be a year for the growth of the AJAX driven code rather than that of Flash. More dynamic interaction is possible and promised for the coming year. Mobile phone webapps are on the up and up so careful consideration to adopting this technology to service your website must be given.
4. Another general trend is that of “aging”: the older people`s eyes are getting the worse they get, so consideration to larger design type and “A a” compatibility should be addressed. Technological unfortunately progress is not as fast so we need to enlarge screen resolution to assist the silver surfers. Let us make their lives easier!
5. More real people and photos embedded. Now people tend to have real photos, previous trends to change people, situations and object were left in 2008. Slightly turned in 2009 and it is assumed this natural attitude will remain in 2010.
6. Regarding design of mobile phones, web sphere and all other things that surround us in every day we predict that there are going to be more exciting advancements over the next 12 months. This tendency started a few years ago and is going to be a leading one for the next generations. This in itself can lead to new discoveries and inventions. With things becoming more comprehensive, complex and sophisticated.
7. Web TV, mobile web and other emerging spheres- is the new style. Today all technologies are combining with each other and tomorrow we are sure will create even more new hybrids. It is now easier to check your e-mail or chat via Skype while you are waiting in the queue for a dentist. Yesterday it was surprise; today it is a reality.
8. The colour ranges we suspect will be kept next year; textures, shapes and forms can vary. I think that red, green, pink and neon will take the leading position amongst people`s preferences.
9. Logos, icons and other signs are turned from a glossy style to a real one. We predict again that a great amount of new icons will be created next year, such as Google earth etc. So, if you have time at the moment, think carefully before deploying them as they will change greatly over the coming months.
